Anyways, Windows does get that advantage in terms of "work". ![]() It's really a joy to use.īut when it comes to productivity (spreadsheet mostly, browsing and the software overall), Windows can just do so much more, the preview on apps open, Alt/Tab to see everything, certain apps I use a lot that the Mac doesn't have like Instagram, including open Edge tabs, WIN/TAB is also cool (though you have that as well on MacOS). Highlight this and a list of usable apps will appear, with the default one at the top. It's really cool to tell the difference because when I'm on my Mac (90% of the time), it just looks so much better, colors are much brighter than the display I use on the Mac (not related to what we're talking about) and the UI on MacOS is just so much more polished. Right-click on it to bring up the contextual menu. All those things you described on your post can be said by me any day of the week. This will lead OSX to change the app for that specific file only. Choose the app you want to use to open the file. This should lead to Open With and change to Always Open Up as shown below: 3. And it's incredible how much more productive I get when I'm on Windows. Locate the file whose default app you want to change. I have both on my desk and tend to work with both depending the task.
